The Russian national carrier Aeroflot have announced that they are to launch a daily service between London Gatwick and Moscow Sheremetyevo from Tuesday 15 November 2016.
The new service will use Aeroflot’s Airbus A320 aircraft departing Sheremetyevo at 13:15 and arriving into Gatwick’s South Terminal at 14:30 (with the exception of Sundays when departure is 13:30, arrival 14:45). Flights out of Gatwick will depart 16:10 and arrive into Sheremetyevo at 22:50 (on Sundays departure is 17:00, arrival 23:40). The two class service will consist of business and economy class cabins, with seating in business arranged in a 2:2 configuration, and economy arranged 3:3.
This is originally to be launched as a winter service however there is no indication at present as to whether the flights will be operating year round in future. In addition to Aeroflot’s existing Heathrow flights, this will bring Aeroflot up to 32 weekly departures from London to Moscow.
