New requirements for travel to the UK – Oct 2020

Anyone planning to travel to the UK will need to adhere to a new set of measures. In order to stop the spread of COVID-19, the United Kingdom has set out 3 important steps to ensure the health and safety of all residents and visitors to the UK. Here’s what you need to know.

These are now legal requirements, so it is important that you check you have these in place before your next flight. If you don’t, you could face a potential fine.

ESSENTIAL INFORMATION FOR UK TRAVEL

You must provide the below at booking, check-in and 24-48 hours before departure:

  1. To protect your health and others’, you must complete an online passenger locator form before arrival in the UK
  2. You may be required to self-isolate for 14 days on arrival. Check the exempt countries list immediately before you travel, as this list can change at short notice
  3. It is a legal requirement that you wear a face covering on public transport in the UK

Failure to comply with the above measures is a criminal offence and you could be fined.
