Changes to international travel testing rules

FULLY VACCINATED

  • will not need to take a COVID-19 test before you travel to England or after you arrive
  • will not need to quarantine when you arrive

You will need to complete a passenger locator form before you travel to England.

NOT FULLY VACCINATED
If you do not qualify as fully vaccinated for travel to England, you will need to:

You will need to book the PCR test before you travel.

You will not need to quarantine unless the result of the PCR test is positive.

If you arrive in England before 0400hrs, 11 February, you must follow the current rules, as set out via the gov.uk website.

Face coverings no longer a legal requirement

In England, there is no longer a legal requirement to wear a face covering. The government suggests that you continue to wear a face-covering in crowded and enclosed spaces where you may come into contact with other people you do not normally meet.

Airline operators are free to set their own conditions of carriage and may still require travellers to continue to wear masks onboard an aircraft.
